WHO ATTENDS THE DANCE PARTIES?  Generally over 100 singles attend the Friday Dances. The ratio of men to women is usually well balanced and the age group is primarily 50s to 60s although there are some younger and older folks as well. Many of the people come for the first time because a friend brought them. It's a friendly crowd.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE DANCE PARTIES? The music starts as soon as the doors open at 7:00pm and usually there are people dancing right away. The music continues non stop til 11:00pm. There is a large dancefloor and the deejay plays a variety of music and because the tempo changes regularly., it is easy to mingle and change partners. All the dances are non smoking events.

A couple of times we feature a special event, such as a 50's night Halloween, etc.

WHAT'S THE MUSIC AT THE DANCE PARTIES? The deejay plays a mix of dance songs from the 50's thru the 90's including a wee bit of Ballroom and a little bit of Country.We feature a variety of music, including line dances. The basic formula is 3 fast songs and 2 slow songs. Feel free to make requests

WHERE ARE THE DANCE PARTIES HELD? Generally at the EAST BAY COUNTRY CLUB in Largo. We do offer weekday dances (check the schedule) if you know of a great venue, let us know.

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO ATTEND?  Nope, no memberships at all. Just pay at the door. The admission is usually $6.00 but some restaurants welcome us and only ask us to buy a drink or order some food.

HOW DO I MET PEOPLE AT THE DANCE PARTIES? Mingle look friendly, be friendly. Talk to both men and women. Remember this is a dance, not a 'sit'. Ask people to dance. Say 'Yes' when someone asks you to dance. When people see you out dancing with lots of people, they are more likely to notice you and to think you are`friendly and worth meeting. Every dance is a LADIES CHOICE"!

DO PEOPLE COME ALONE? Absolutely! This question is most asked by women. The Country Club and restaurants are upscale and in comfortable, safe surroundings.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE? Yes, Dress must be presentable. Shorts are not allowed. Jeans in good condition are allowed, No beach wear, flip flops or sport shoes, please. Most people wear what might be called 'Dressey casual' attire..slacks and shirts for the men and dresses or slacks and blouses for the women.

IS THERE A BAR? Yes, the club or restaurant sets up a bar with sodas and juices, beer, wine and mixed drinks. The prices ar set by the club or restaurant.
